Giving Tuesday
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. The idea is behind this movement comes at a time to combat consumerism. We celebrate Black Friday, Shop Small Saturday and Cyber Monday shopping for ourselves and others, so Giving Tuesday allows us the opportunity to to give back to those nonprofits in need of financial assistance. The Archdiocese of St. Louis has been participating in this event since 2021 with the help of #iGiveCatholic and VMY SEMO has be participating since 2022. As a participant VMY SEMO has been afforded the opportunity to connect with benefactors both locally and beyond out geographical boundaries.
We will need help this year with making phone calls to donors, sending mailers, and posting on social media. Students who help with this event can ear $7.50 service credit towards future VMY events.
